The Tussin, The Tussin! - (INCOMPLETE POST FROM 11/28/04. ACTUALLY POSTED 1/10/05 @ 7:44PM)

Hello everyone! I got lazy again so forgive me... or blow me. :-P

Well let me start with the most recent things...

Looks like Bush's tactics from 2000 have rubbed off onto Ukraine. There's speculation that the recent winner for leader over there actually cheated. I think the US is backing the effort to get to the real results. Good for us. Now we actually care about true democracy.

Some groups are wanting to push back the elections in Iraq. I don't know what I think on this... We've made such a mess over there that no matter who is elected, eventually it is going to revert right back to a dictatorship when we finally get the hell out of there. This whole war is just nonsense and should have never taken place.

Speaking of the war, though, I finally saw Farenhiet 9/11 and... wow. Micheal Moore did it AGAIN! It started kind of slow with the whole Bin Laden family's connection to the Bush family and regime but while it was the source of a few really good points and questions, in the end it was redundent. They had like 20 people all saying the same things. Micheal Moore was trying to drive that home too well and it ended up being annoying...
But luckily, that was just the beginning! The rest of the movie was AMAZING! It showed the gorey trueth of what is happening to our guys over there and their civilians, too. It shows how just before the war, things in Iraq where great! Totalitarian my ass! I think this movie sort of proves my theory that Hussien was an asshole back in the day and even in the early 90's but he tried to change that in his later years in power to be more of a president than a dictator. I mean, this part of the movie shows kids at a carnival riding rides and having fun. It shows woman dressed like some women dress over here. They weren't wrapped up with only eyes peering out. They wore what they wished and were smiling and happy.

It also showed how they felt about the US before the invasion... They thought we were pretty good as a people... Then it showed how they felt after bombings began. They HATED us. It showed one young man having to pick up peices of his 20 year old female neighbor after a US strike. It showed a man piling bodies of dead Iraqi children into the bed of a truck while damning the US. It just showed how little planning was actually put into the first strikes. It was a matter of taking over the country by any means neccesary as opposed to through tactfully bombing key targets.

Probably the worse and saddest part of the movie was the way some of the US soldiers acted. They were childish, disrespectful, and just assholes. Don't get me wrong, though. It wasn't ALL of them but the fact that any acted that way was just SHAMEFUL. I have always been against this war over there but that doesn't mean I don't support our troops. The opposite is actually true. But after seeing the ways some of those soldiers were treating civilians and old men, I think those of them who acted that way should be forced to be infantrymen in Falluja.

I can't keep going on about this movie or the war, though, or this post won't end. Just watch the movie with an open mind. You might learn something. It gets 4.75 our of 5 stars from me. BRILLIANT movie!

'SpongeBob SquarePants the Movie' is probably the closest cinematic experience closest to a drug induced trip that I have EVER seen. It's good, though. Very funny. If you're a fan of the show it's a MUST. Of course, there's some subtle and more adult jokes and gags in there but that's in the show, too. Great movie. 4/5

While on the topic of movies, go rent '21 Grams' starring Sean Penn (amazing movie, 5/5) and the Kevin Smith film, 'Clerks' (cult classic if I ever saw one, 4.98/5).

So... Darrell and I went to audition for a 'B' film last Saturday. It was so much fun! There was a hott goth to interview us

------------------------

Sorry but I never finished this post and just saved it as a draft but I am now going to post it (the date is 1/10/05) in it's incomplete form. And about the B film we were interviewed for, we've been contacted once for it but not since with any further information. He had to improve on the spot the scene of him walking the green mile knowing he was innocent and there was being an injustice done. My scene was being pulled over by the cops and them finding 3 pounds of cocaine in my car. Oddly enough, we both blamed the actions we were defending on foreigners (Mexicans, I believe it was) lol. I hope to have more on the film soon.

The Seven Seas of Rhye

The Seven Seas of Rhye - Queen
(lyrics by Freddie Mercury)

La - la - la

Fear me you lords and lady preachers
I descend upon your earth from the skies
I command your very souls you unbelievers
Bring before me what is mine - the Seven Seas of Rhye

Can you hear me, you peers and privy counselors?
I stand before you naked to the eyes
I will destroy any man who dares abuse my trust
I swear that you'll be mine - the Seven Seas of Rhye

Sister - I live and lie for you
Mister - do and I'll die
You are mine, I possess you, belong to you forever-ever-ever-ahhhh!

Storm the master marathon and I'll fly through
By flash and thunder-fire and I'll survive - I'll survive - I'll survive
(I'll survive - I'll survive - I'll survive)
Then I'll defy the laws of nature and come out alive
Then I'll get you

Be gone with you, you shod and shady senators
Give out the good, leave out the bad evil cries
I challenge the mighty Titan and his troubadours
And with a smile
I'll take you to the Seven Seas of Rhye

[fades while chanting:]

(oh I do like to be beside the seaside
oh I do like to be beside the sea
where the brass band plays - tiddly om pom pom
oh I do like to be beside the seaside -yeah!
oh I do like to be beside the sea
oh when I'm beside the sea, I'm beside...)

BREAKING NEWS! -- Christopher Reeve

It's now just after 4AM and as I was shutting off my TV for bed, a breaking news announcement came on saying that Christopher Reeve has died at age 52. He is, of course, best know for his role as Superman in the 'Superman' movies and as an advocated for the paralyzed. He was paralyzed in the 90's in a horseback riding accident. He was an advocate for stem cell research and was just used as an example of people worth helping through the use of stem cells by John Kerry in the most recent presidential debate.

Apparently, he lapsed into a coma sometime this weekend after going into cardiac arrest as a result as some sort of severly infected sore of some kind.

Sorry I can't offer any information right now but it is BREAKING NEWS and the shock of it all prohibited me from taking in all of the things mentioned on CNN. If you want more information, I'm sure more will be avalible in the coming hours so check http://news.google.com/ http://www.cnn.com/ and check your favorite news channel for more information.

The world has lost a good man, a great actor, and one of the greatest advocates for stem cell research and he's gonna be missed.

RIP C.R.

Moop

I won't waste your time with explantions of my not posting for a while again. I'll just start right in with things in the news that catch my eye...

For starters; Yusuf Islam AKA Cat Stevens... For those of you who don't know, here's a VERY short background...
Back in the day, he was a brilliant folk singer who wrote songs such as 'Peace Train'. I dare say he was a rival to John Lennon for the most peaceful person in existance. Well after a while, he converted to Islam and people (mainly Americans) grew to hate him even more than they had before.
Well, recently, he and his daughter were flying to the US (they are British citizens) and they realized that his name was on a 'no-fly' terrorist list that meant he could not fly in the US. So his plane was forced to land (in the US actually I think) to get him off of it ASAP.

Now here's what I think... I saw Mr. Islam on Larry King just the other day and the two were discussing the whole deal and other things in the media and I have to say, I'm now a fan of Yusuf Islam.
But as far as the flying issue... He has NO reason to be on the no-fly list. He is not an extremist and if you know anything about him, you'll know that he would NEVER take part in any sort of violence at all for any reason. But still, he can't fly in the US.
Another thing is that the name on the list isn't really his. It's someone with a similar first name but with much different spelling (Yassouf is what I think he said). So why can't he fly? Well... there's no real explantion. His name isn't on the list but for being similar to a name on the list he is not allowed to fly.
It's ok though because he's a rich guy and he's got his lawyers trying to get him removed from the list (He has flown to the US 19 times since 9/11/2001 and this is the only time he has been flagged).

Now for those of you who don't care too much about the civil liberties of an old folk singer, the entire thing may still apply to you and your safety. If fact, there is no doubt that it does!
Note that I said they forced his plane to land after finding out he was on a no-fly list... HE WAS ALREADY IN THE AIR OVER AMERICA WHILE LISTED ON A NO-FLY LIST OF POTENTIAL TERRORISTS! If a real terrorist was going to hijack a plane and was listed on the list he would have the chance to. All of this money Bush is requesting for Homeland Security and we had someone who they thought was a terrorist flying around! Maybe it's just my 'liberal bullshit' but I think that the best way to keep planes from being hijacked is to... like... KEEP THE PEOPLE SUSPECTED OF BEING TERRORISTS OFF THE FUCKING PLANES TO START WITH!

But I'm gonna get carried away on that... It does get me goin', as you can see. I have a kid on the way and it's not making me feel any safer knowing he's gonna be living in a world like this where the government is too stupid to keep suspected terrorists off a plane to start with.

Moving right along, though...

If you know me, you probably know that I think the most pointless 'sport' is NASCAR racing... However, I have heard something recently that really gets to me...
After a race (like last week I think) Dale Earnhardt, Jr. was interviewed after winning the race and he was excited and said a few "potty words" in a post race interview...
Now, for starters, I don't think what he said went overboard, nor do I think it was something that anyone watching has not heard before. I'll never understand how words can so deeply 'offend' someone, but somehow they manage to. To me, he sounded like any other person I know when they are thrilled about winning something and I hear much worse language walking around the streets of SC. The thing is, the FCC and NASCAR need to RELAX. It wasn't like he was dropping F-bombs like Dick Chenney on the senate floor.

Secondly, it was the carrier's fault (NBC, I think it was) for not using a 5 second delay like everyone else on the planet does. Not to stereotype anyone, but Southerners don't always use the most clean language esspecially when they're excited! Hell, I've lived in SC for my whole life so I know what I'm talking about. I'm shocked that all NASCAR programming does not work on a time delay.

And another thing... If you want to be lame and charge the guy for his foul ups then go ahead. I don't agree but it's not inconceivable. But they also took away like 25 of his points and apparently, they are very important when it comes to the championship. So... yeah. That was way out of line, I think.

Next I'm gonna touch on the debates...

Well the first debate, I thought Kerry clearly won but I wasn't going to say anything thinking that maybe I only saw it that way because I support Kerry. But then I saw that most of the country agreed so I wasn't afraid to touch on debates.

Edwards, I think probably did better than Cheney in the VP debate. See, Cheney is a smart dude. I do think he was too much on the offensive in always attacking Kerry/Edwards but all-in-all, while Cheney had many answers and spoke in a very intellectual tone and rather clearly and with intent, I think he sounded, as someone said on TV, too much like you were being called into the principal's office.
Edwards held his own. I was VERY pleased with it. While he wasn't a decisive winner, it was his first debate! He, too, spoke clearly and intelligently. As far as content goes, they both did very well.
But if I had to pick a winner, I'd have to say it was Edwards because he was less on the offensive, I think. He wasn't a clear-cut winner, but I think he was ahead by a small margin.

Now to the most recent debate...

Bush was a cocky acting ass. His 'bulldog' Republican style is rather old. He spoke none (or little) on the actual issues and was more concerned with spouting off his unproven 'facts' and putting an extremely untrue spin on everything to make Kerry seem like Satan as a Democrat. He was clearly full of nothing but lies, propaganda, and untrue spins.
But I feel like people think that I'm anti-Republican... I'm not. There are many Republicans that I actually like and a few I'm considering voting for. Bush, however, IS the Republican stereotype (but worse) except he's not as fat as most would like.

I could go for HOURS on my reasons for disliking Bush but I'm not here to spread my opinion as truth or to Bush-Bash, only to state it as an opinion.

But really... I don't care who you vote for, people. JUST VOTE! I think it would be TRAGIC to see Bush back in office but if he actually WINS it then there's nothing I can do or say. It just really gets to me that some people just don't vote. You have the ability-- DO IT! I LOVE the commercials that flash "Vote for..." and then a ton of different topics across the screen and then it says "Vote for SOMETHING!". There IS a topic relevant to you that will be decided by who is elected or by articles that you can vote on yourself.

Check the web, people. Odds are you can register to vote by mail in your state but if you can't, take the 10 minutes to get out and register. Go to your county building or what-ever and do it.

That's all for now, people. Hang tight. =)

(Does anyone even read my posts/journal? If so, leave a comment and/or email me at theprynce@gmail.com to let me know I'm not wasting my time.)

Went to a garden party...

Rick Nelson - Garden Party
I went to a garden party to reminisce with my old friends.
A chance to share old memories and play our old songs again.

When I got to the garden party, they all knew my name,
But no one recognized me, I didn't look the same.

But it's all right now. I learned my lesson well.
You see, you can't please everyone, so you got to please yourself.

People came from miles around. Everyone was there.
Yoko brought her walrus. There was magic in the air.

And over in the corner, much to my surprise,
Mr. Hughes hid in Dylan's shoes wearing his disguise.

But it's all right now. I learned my lesson well.
You see, you can't please everyone, so you got to please yourself.

I played them all the old songs, I thought that's why they came.
No one heard the music. We didn't look the same.

I said hello to Mary Lou, she belongs to me.
When I sang a song about a Honky-Tonk, it was time to leave.

But it's all right now. I learned my lesson well.
You see, you can't please everyone, so you got to please yourself.

Someone opened up a closet door and out stepped Johnny B. Goode,
Playing guitar like a ring and a bell and lookin' like he should.

If you gotta play at garden parties, I wish you a lotta lock,
But if memories were all I sang, I rather drive a truck.

But it's all right now. I learned my lesson well.
You see, you can't please everyone, so you got to please yourself.

He said 'No', Er... With his foot.

I just saw an amazing movie...

I know that no one wants to know about the lame ass details of my life as of late, so I won't bother.

But the movie I just saw is 'Bowling for Columbine'. It was my first Micheal Moore film and now I see why conservatives hate and fear him. He goes for the throat with a pleasant hand-shake. He is amazing. His interview styles go from the nice middle-aged documentary film-maker to subtly, but definately ripping the other party apart if they deserve it.

But enough about him. His film is my focus tonight.

Basically, the movie just goes through every class f people in America that you can think of in an attempt to discover why so many Americans kill other Americans with guns every year.
Throughout the film, different theories are discounted. It isn't violent video games. Most of those come from Japan. It isn't heavy or dark music. Germany is the capital of that sort of music. American movies are seen through out the world with all of their violence. So some say it's just in our history. The country was founded through violence and we've had to deal with it every since. Again, discounted... Look at Germany. That's a long history of blood and violence. Look at the UK. Same thing. HORRIBLE violence there throughout the history of that country. What about the Aussies? C'mon. The entire Autralian continent was originally for England's criminals.
Most of these countries have under 300 murders a year by gun violence. Some are as low as in the 30s! Most of them also have strict laws for guns, too... But not Canada. They're hunters just like us. They have tons of guns laying around and they don't go around shooting each other. Its sad that we do. Maybe I should move to Canada so my child won't have to deal with this American BS. And no that's not an anti-American statement. I just don't want my child to have to live in fear his whole life but that's where it's gonna go if he's raised here. And in the South especially. I know that's how I was raised. I was lead to believe that anyone not white had no intention other than to harm someone who was white. How arrogant is that!? People around here actually had the nerve to think that they are important enough that dozens of races of people would all conspire against them.

But I'm ranting now and I am sorry for that but this isn't cool. There's only a few places left in the world that aren't in extreme danger for something and one of them is Canada and... That's not my first choice of places to live...

An interesting topic in the film that was touched on but not as in-depth as I would have liked is the politicians. American politicians are more focused on running things around the world (or at the VERY least, having a hand in it) while Canadian politicians are more focused on the advancement of their own people. The unemployment rate there is worse than in the US but the conditions are better. The government if truly FOR the people there. It's amazing at the difference crossing one little line on the ground can change things.

I dunno, dude. You all just go out and rent of buy the film or catch it on Sundance next time it's on. I really don't think it will dissappoint.

But to touch on other things apart from the film...

I've been working on using Mozilla's new Firebird browser all day. It's great. The extensions you can get for it are like a few kb at the most and they're so powerful, as is the browser itself. I downloaded Firebird today to see if it was different from the regular Mozilla browser and-- WOW. It is. By the same company or not, this one if MUCH better. It takes up vital resources on your machine and it's just... nice to look at. It's not all cluttered or just boring. It's not AMAZING to look at but it's got a ton of themes you can use to spice it up, but I am happy with the plain 'ol look of it. Easy to please, I am.

Well, it looks like I shall be spending much time at the beach. I just had a trip down there yesterday (Saturday) and it looks as though I might be going this Tuesday and leaving Thursday and then going back Friday and leaving Sunday. And it's finally cooling off out so... Rah!

I have like two more chapters in The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy... It's like only 15 pages but I'm taking my time. It's a funny fuckin' book. I love it. I'm glad I got the collection of the 5 books in one.
Didja know that there's gonna be a MAJOR MOTION PICTURE version based on the book?! Fuckin' great, yeah? All I know is that Mos Def is gonna be Ford Prefect and... ya. Gonna be cool.

My morning glories are blooming! So are the wild ones near my house. All of them are amazing. I actually found out that I have some small scarlet once's growing near the end of my road. They're so pretty. I'm also seeing all the Wild Wandering Jews finally blooming. They have the most interesting flowers. People get so giddy for Spring 'cause of the flowers... I prefer Fall flowers. Golden rods are starting to glow... Morning glories are blooming... Daisies are comin' up as are lilies. Not to mention the temperature will soon be down to like the 50's and 60's which is about enough to just my me cry out with joy.

Well, on that highly homosexual note, I shall end this post, lol. Maybe I'll update again soon... but if you look back at my history, you'll find it unlikely. Later!

Sing Us a Song, You're the Piano Man!

Ok, so it's been a while again, hasn't it? Sorry... Been busy... ish.

So what's new, eh? Well... Hm... I've been gettin' comfortably close with an old friend, Ashleigh. Sexy bitch, that one. :-D And before anyone *AHEM* gets mad at me, bugger off! It's how I see her and plus this is my journal and if you don't like it, don't read it! Simple, isn't it? I can't go editing myself so people won't throw fits now can I? Well I could but I assume you all know me better than that.

Hm... What else... Well, I was supposed to be learning Dungeons and Dragons last night but ended up watching 'Easy Rider' instead. It's a really good movie... Its sad as hell at the end, though. I dunno if 'sad' is the best word for it but if you're like me and lived in a place like I have my whole life it'll piss you off knowing that people 'round here would probably do the same if they had half a chance. But thanks to my Paxil (I'm blaming it on the medication... shhh...), I wouldn't be so passive.

Darrell's wife totalled his Tracker a few weeks ago. She fucked it up good, too. I don't think it's beyond her to have done it purposely but, hey... I dunno her. From what I've been able to put together of my experiences of her, I think I feel comfortable in saying that.

Shannon started school back about two weeks ago. She's already missed at least three days. Pregnate or not, they're going to fail her ass. I know it's gonna piss her off, but I don't even know why she pretends to care anymore. Her grades are good but if you miss over 5 days a semester, grades aren't shit! You fail! Now I'm not saying she hasn't got ambition... just not at the level that I like it.

I realised the other day why Republicans win elections so often with so much true opposition. People who are afraid of change of that 'different' people could become their equals in society vote Republican without knowing anything about either candidate. My dad, for example... His work has been virtually non-existant since Bush came into office. Not only that, but since then, my parents have been stretched for money ALL THE TIME... Bush has taken a record surplus in funds and made it into a royally deep deficeit... The economy is SHIT now. Its to the point that the markets closing a few points up is something that Bush claims as some sort of amazing victory and proof the economy is on some recovery.
My dad is the assistant fire chief at a small volunteer station. They're getting no government support and are in danger of having to shut down and it's been that way for about 2-3 years. Bush's position is to close small volunteer stations down and to halt government funding raises for firefighters across the country. John Kerry is in support of volunteer fire stations to the point that all sorts of fire fighting organizations now officially endorse and support him. He wants to make sure they all survive because if they didn't, YOUR home owners insurance would take a major spike.

I told you that to tell you this... My dad support Bush. All of the crap that has affected him and put him into worries for the past 3 years is because of Bush but because he's so afraid that a black man may some day be treated as a white man's equal everywhere, he votes for conservatives that he knows are just as racially biast as him.

But I digress. It just irks me. If there's anything true on this planet, Bush will not be elected (I say elected as opposed to re-elected since he was appointed by the supreme court and not elected by a majority) and give us another four years of fear and shite.

Scott Peterson did it.

Well, that's about it for now. I gotta go take a shower in a bit so... yeah. I'll try to update more often, I promise... lol.

Send me a text or SMS message at 18438451972 if you'd like. I shall responde ASAP.

Been A While... (INCOMPLETE POST FROM 6/08/04. ACTUALLY POSTED 1/10/05 @ 8:04PM)

Well it has been a while again, hasn't it? Ah, well. No matter. Onto business!

I'll start with the major news in the world right over the past few weeks: Former President Reagan. Ok, see, he was a Republican and as I'm sure you all know, I am not. He was a pretty good guy, though. He didn't try to go personal with attacks and stuff and that's something greatly needed. He did a lot for the world.
I have heard, too, that a group want to change the picture on the $10 bank note to a picture of Reagan to replace Alexander Hamilton. He was cool and all but... no. Alexander Hamilton, for those who don't know, was never president of the US. But he WAS the first Treasurey Sec. guy.

Now about the kidnappings and beheadings in Iraq/Saudi Arabia... They are pointless. They serve no real purpose. No change comes from them, really. What policies (in the US at least) have come of that? Really, though. It is clear that the US is not going to pull out just because they kidnap our contractors and things. I dunno... I'm all for getting our people out of their but that isn't going to speed it up at all. Now it's like, you get kidnapped and your ass is grass. Consider yourself dead then and there. You have no real hope. They aren't going to let you go.

Too Early, Dammit

Well kiddies, here I am again, yeah? It's about 10AM as I am beginning this post and that's pretty early for me. I got up at 6 after going to bed at 2... I'm not a happy guy.

Anywho, let me fill you in on my trip to Myrtle Beach with Matt last week.

He called me at like 10AM and woke me up and asked if I could go with him to the beach. I was more than ready to get out of the house and break from my everyday inane track-lead life so I went. We left my house at 1:30 if I recall right. We got in the car and Blair called and he told her we'd go by there before we left. We went to see her and she gave him this cool 'Crow' pen she'd got for him then we left...

We started goin' and it was a usual Matt/Preston excursion. We stopped by one service station to get gas and something to drink and I got a ton of free shit from the thingies outside. On the way in, I saw this poster of a missing/runaway Conway girl that I had seen online. She's really cute and its just a sad thing all together. It's terrible that she'd do that to her family, but I digress.
We kept on 501 and ended up stopping for directions and this Indian/Pakistani guy in a service station (I didn't think the stereotype was true until then) told us where it was and the girl working there with him was kinda cute but we left anyway.

We got to the beach and went to a store to get Matt a camera and he put on his sandles and shite and we went in the store and there were plenty of hotties, of course, but we ended up leaving and he found a First Citizens so he could get some money. We then went to another store and he got a camera and then we found a place to park and went down on the beach. It was cool even though no one was out there. We found a ton of those little prickly plant thingies on the shore in tidal pools and Matt dropped a big rock on one of them. It's ok though because we saved about 3 of them!

When we left the actual beach, we went in this little shop and Matt got a bag of Mardi Gras beads for $5 and gave me half of them. We then just walked around and did lots of looking and rode up and down Ocean Blvd. We kept walking and riding and shit just getting an eyeful every minute and then when we were in the car, we found like an SUV full of girls that were screaming at everyone and we got behind them and waved and they waved back and there was some flipping off done and shit. Everytime I waved, the girl in the front passenger seat waved. She was ok but Matt liked the driver... lol.

Then later, we were doin' some walking and we were looking for the car (I think) and Matt thought it was one way and it was really the other way (and I told him that. lol.) and this really nice car with even nicer looking girls in it just rolled by and the passenger was like "Ya'll are sexy!" and we were somewhat dumbfounded at first so we asked "Huh?" and she was like "Ya'll sexy." but they were driving away so we couldn't talk to them or anything. It got us good and confident, though.

So later we were just walking around again and we went in this store with a big stairwell in the window that was like 5 stories and had a little pond/fountain at the bottom. I started feeling like shit, like I was gonna pass out. Matt was trying to look up skirts/down shirts using the stairs and I stood innocently by. :)
But after we left there, we went to get something to eat. We went to New York Pizza or something like that (Matt, if you remember the name let me know so I can correct it) and I got a 20 oz. diet Coke before b/c I was really thirsty and that was all I could get from the machine. Anywho, we went in the store and we each got a cheeseburger for like $3 (and worth every penny!) and I got a Pepsi and Matt got Sum Poosie ($3.50 a bottle, I think it was. That's a lot of money just for Sum Poosie. :))

Well we left there and went to the car and then we just rode around the rest of the night. We were behind this black Eclipse with two cool guys in it. The cops on the bikes ran their plates so we warned them that we heard them calling them in and they ended up going somewhere else. Either before or after that, though, we saw an alright girl out my window and she was on the phone and Matt was like "I like your hat" and I was like "And that's a nice phone" and the girl's friend turns to us and she's like "I've got a boyfriend so back off" and she was talking to me! I got wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy indignate about that time and I was like "...And I've got a girlfriend but no one was talking to your ass to start with." and I kept talking shit to her and calling her a prude and Matt ended up rolling up my window so I couldn't bitch at her anymore... But that pissed me off. Bitch thought we wanted her. Shit, the girl Matt was talking to wasn't even that great and the one that got all pissy was just plain out bleh.

But anyway, I was trying to get some attention so I started telling girls that I loved them. It worked best with this little goth girl. She was so cute. Her and her friend were just walking along and I was like "I love you" and she tried to ignore me so I was like "I LOVE YOU! Really! You don't love me!?" and she was like "Yeah I love you" and started laughing and I was like "Call me!" and she was like "Alright!" but I, of course, didn't give her my number (although I wish I would have given her some way to contact me b/c she really seemed cool). So later on we saw them again and I was like "Hey!" and she and her friend were like "We still love you!" and I was like "Ya!" and she was like all lookin' cute standing there and I held my arm out for a hug and she ran over to me with her friend and I hugged her and I was like "Your arms are cold!" and she told me it was cold out there so I told her to get a jacket and she said she didn't have one so I told her to take her friend's jacket. She said she probably would eventually and her friend took off her jacket and gave it to her and then we had to drive off and they walked away and that was that. I didn't get a picture of her or nothin'! That's my HUGE regret for the year. I think she would have been a cool friend!

Another slightly lesser obsession I had was this really cute girl with long, stripey socks and tiny little denim shorts. Oi vey... That looked yummy. lol. I felt like Bernie Mac as the preacher in 'Friday' where he's like "MmmmHmmm... The Lord is my shepard, HE KNOW WHAT I WANT!". Yeah was perfect lookin'. I almost got a picture but I was gonna wait for us to get closer but the traffic was so crappy that I couldn't.

We spent the rest of the night just riding around trying to get off of the strip or boardwalk or w/e you wanna call it. I never saw my two obsessions again. :( We did see Ashleigh Arriginton, though! It was for a split second as she went by! She's cool.

After we left, we went to a service station to take leaks and we asked the lady how to get to Super Wal-Mart in Conway and she told us and we went and played video games, then left. The ride home was kind of boring as we both were spent and it was like 1:30AM before we got back. On the way back, we were going slow down the median on 301 so we could get the left over relfectors from the plows from the snow we had. We got some good ones but Matt busted some of them up. There was no traffic and it was cool. We would turn around and anything we had to do just to get them.

I got back to Shannon's house and dealt with a lot of whining and that was virtually the end to one of the most fun days I've had in a long time.

I didn't get to go on my ghost hunt Saturday. We were in the car and about to leave when Darrell's wife called and he decided not to go. This Saturday, though, we're goin'. Hopefully plans won't change. We want to go to All Saints cemetery in Pawley's Island and possibly to/by The Hermitage in Murrells Inlet if we can get directions. Anyone know where it is?

Well, that's all I have got for now, really. I'm rushing to finish this so I can go watch Dick Van Dyke, lol. I'll see about posting later today about my thoughts on current events and things and I'll post more on what this post was about if I think of anything.

Take care!

Another Day, Another Rant (Subtle Hints That I Need a Life)

Well, it has been a week or so, hasn't it? I guess I should just get right into it...

Know what pisses me off? George W. Bush's stance on gay marriage. Come on, now. If some homosexuals getting married are compromising the moral fiber of this country, then gay marriage is the least of our worries. I mean, I do not believe that sexuality is a choice. It isn't very common but there are even gay animals in the animal kingdom. With people in the highest ranks of the government gay bashing, I don't see how anyone could CHOOSE to be gay. That's just stupid! If you're gay, you're gay. Outlawing sodomy and gay marriage isn't going to end homosexuality. That would only come from human genocide.

Why don't people give Pete Rose a break? Its obvious the man didn't bet on baseball. If he did, he'd admit it now and get in the Hall of Fame. Its like in 'The Crucible' when John Proctor could save his life and the lives of others by signing his name on a confession that says he was joined with Satan, but rather than besmirch his name and spare his life, he saved his name and lost his life. When he was asked why he wouldn't sign his name he was like "BECAUSE IT IS MY NAME! I haven't got another!" It was a pretty sad scene. That's what Pete Rose must be going through. He has to lie to get his due respect. I know this isn't really a current event but its buggin' me.

So, I saw 'The Passion of the Christ' a week or so ago. It wasn't that bad. I know I'm a Pagan and all and I'm against Christianity for the most part but I still wanted to see it. It's pretty good. The subtitles don't really bother me, either. They're easy to read. I could glance at the screen and get the words before anything happened in the scene anyway.
It is pretty anti-sematic, though. It blamed the Jews totally. Pilate really got off the hook. He had the power to release Jesus instead of the murder but he left it to the people, knowing they'd choose to have Jesus punished. I've always been told that turning your back and letting something happen is just as bad as doing it yourself and he did just that in 'washing his hands'.
I was shocked to see that they included Jesus turning towards the sky and saying "Father, why have you forsaken me?". People say that Jesus wanted to die and didn't try to get out of it but that isn't the case. He thought he wasn't going to die b/c in his fucked up mind, he really thought he was God's son and he wouldn't die on the cross. That is why he said God had forsaken him just before he died.
They made it graphic as hell so people would feel bad for him and worship him but they didn't show enough that that was common back then. Jesus wasn't the only man done like that. Back to 'The Crucible', look at the brutal things done to people who were only thought to be witches. Why don't they make a movie violently depicting the death of Giles Corey?

I say an intersting movie last night called 'May'. I'd never heard of it but it was pretty good. I thought it was gonna blow balls but it was alright, through and through. It lasted too long but it was alright. It was pretty creepy but the lead actress pulled it off well.

Well, that's all I have for now. I'll update again either tonight or tomorrow night or Sunday night about my day at the beach Wed. and about my night ghost hunting tomorrow night. Check back often and leave comments on my new comment system!

Hello all! This is my new blog on Blogger.com. I used to have a journal at DeadJournal.Com/~ThePrynce but I was sick of their service so I came here! This blog won't be nearly as personal, probably, since my life is pretty much the same every day. I'll probably just post with my views of the news and on movies and games and shite like that, you know?

So lets get to it!

First I think I'll touch on the whole Democratic primaries thing. Kerry clearly will be the nominee this year, but who will be the VP nominee? I'm hoping for Edwards... I was pulling for him for president from the start but I thought he had no chance until he started doing well in primaries. I was really excited but then I saw him drop out and got pretty mad.
Dean was a good choice, too. I like him. I didn't know that being a passionate speaker made you an asshole with a bad temper. I guess that's the case these days, though. You're supposed to induce sleep with speeches nowadays. I liked Dean. Shame he had to hit that downward spiral...

But yeah, I do endorse Kerry. He's an alright nominee I guess. He's no Edwards but still... an ok guy. He's clearly a war hero which gives him ups in my book, but I dunno. His daddy couldn't get him into the National Gaurd (nod at Bush, for those a bit slower than others, lol).

Another thing on my mind is Martha Stewart. She's a good lady and all and so she did a few things wrong, or so she was charged... but she doesn't deserve prision. She wasn't even convicted of insider trading! She was only convicted of trying to not go to jail, basically. They just want to crucify her to make an example of her.

On the whole Richard Clarke deal, I don't know too much about it. I do believe that the Bush administration did ignore huge threats and lots of information. I, however, think the Bush administration to be a joke on most all levels, though. He's a stupid man who's just up for getting him and his friends even more rich. Fuck the middle and lower class. He couldn't care less about them.
I don't see why people praise Bush for being all anti-terrorism AFTER 9/11. We should slay him for waiting until after those thousands of people died. That's like cheering fuckin' Tim McVeigh for bombing that building because you didn't like someone in there... er something.

To stay on the topic of Bush, I'd like to praise him for wanting to have broadband Internet access avaliable to all who need it by the year 2007. Republicans rarely do things to make technology better (sorry if I'm stereotyping but its true). I think its great for Bush to do. Although I wouldn't be at all shocked to find out he owned an assload of stock in some broadband Internet company... :-D

Moving off of politics now... Hm... I've seen some good movies lately!
The thing is, they're not exactly new movies. I know that's a little stupid but... yeah. Get over it.

A week or so ago I watch 'Scarface' for the first time. It's actually a really good movie. I see why its as well known as it is. I'm a big Pacino fan now because of it. Well, and 'The Godfather'.
Another good Pacino film I recently saw is 'Heat'. I didn't catch it all because I missed the first thirty minutes or so of it and I couldn't grasp the plot fully, but it was a pretty good movie if you're into crime-drama.

A movie I saw just last night is 'About a Boy' with everyone's favorite English prostitution soliciter, Hugh Grant. I really never wanted to see it but I was bored last night and it was on so I decided to watch it and it was damn good! I like British movies of that sort (ie; 'Trainspotting') so... yeah. Anyone got any good British movies for me?

Its nearly Easter again and you know what that means, right? PEEPS! The best fuckin' candy in the world! Ok, well, they're good either way. I love those things. Yellow chickies are the best, dontchaknow? Pink ones are ok, too. My mom got me some pink chickies today and they're nearly gone now. My girlfriend has been buying them nearly daily now, lol. It's cool. Peeps kick arse left and right.
Peeps have their own site at MarshMallowPeeps.com so go there and eat the hell out of 'em. Mmmmm... :-D

Well, I'm not home now so I'll be wrappin' this one up. Look for more posts soon! Feel free to email me at WebMaster@ThePrynce.com, mmmk?
